Discipleship

Jesus' final words to his disciples, before he ascended to heaven were, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you" [Matthew 28:19-20].

Jesus' command was clear: make disciples. Because Jesus was serious about it, we are as well. We believe discipleship occurs best in the midst of intentional, healthy relationships. There are opportunities for people of all ages to connect in community and grow in the character and competency of Jesus.

  • There is a lot of talk about being a disciple but what does that mean? How do we practically follow Jesus? This course will be highly interactive with practical tools for each concept, completely usable for a new believer or someone following Jesus for 50 years. This is not a course for just gaining more knowledge – you will not only be learning, but holding one another accountable to doing what you’ve heard and passing it on.

  • In this training module, we hope to show the importance of having spiritual family, a Biblically-based group to encourage one another, hold one another accountable, and care for each other as you walk out your faith; loving God, loving others, and making disciples.

  • This module is very much for those out in the field, doing the work.  This training will deal with common specific issues that tend to come up as disciples are out loving God, loving others, and making disciples.

  • Ministry partnerships are committed relationships between Moran Park and local organizations who are seeking to make disciples by meeting people's real needs.
