opportunities to serve

Here is where you can find  specific needs that can be filled by the people of Moran Park. These needs come from our Ministry Partners, other ministries in the area, and specific people in our congregation.

  • Prayer Warriors needed!

My House Ministry would love a group of prayer warriors that would be willing to pray around the perimeter and inside each home. This group would be praying any bondage or spirits of darkness out of each place. There could be a group for each home or one group that drives to every home. Much Prayer = Much Power!

    Mowers needed!

MHM is in need of a couple men or women that would be willing to mow at the 18th St. and the Washington Blvd. houses each week. They both have a fairly small backyard and the 18th St. house also has a small front yard.

    Drivers needed!

MHM is in need of people who are willing to provide transportation for residents on an as-needed basis. They would love to have a group of 6 women or married couples that could be emailed or called when this need arises. Rides would be provided for residents going to doctors' appointments, the food pantry, or to work, etc.

People willing to paint needed! (training provided!)

MHM is in need of people that would like to learn how to scrape, prime, and pain outside windows at the 18th St. house! Kari will be providing training to a small group that would like to take on this project!

    Organizers/Cleaners needed!

MHM is in need of a group that loves to organize. The basement at the 18th St. house is in need of organizing, cleaning, and refreshing. If a group would like to do this, MHM would love to set up a work day!

    Donations needed!

A more refined and exhaustive list is to come, but for now here are some ideas!

    • New bath towel sets
    • Paper towels
    • Toilet paper
    • Feminine products
    • Tissues
    • Etc.

Hosting some sort of fun night or event!

If any ladies ever want to host something for the ladies at MHM, please let them know! A recent example that Patty Weerstra just did was a movie and pizza night at the 18th St. house. They watched War Room and had a wonderful time. These women are eager to grow spiritually!

  • Lakeshore Lifeworks

    Respite Care House Parent(s) Needed!

Lakeshore Lifeworks recently have received a couple as the new house parents and the board is looking for a single man or couple that would be willing to provide respite care for them. This would involve 1 weekend (2 nights) per month and would be a paid opportunity. Call Rick Mannes at 616-836-2691 or email Dan Ralya here for more information.
